Simon Hersch Deutsch, 06. Marcheschvan 5692 (Donnerstag, 13. Oktober 1831)
Anmerkungen
D(as ist) d(er Mann) Simon Hersch F”K (Abkürzung für Frauenkirchen), s(ein Andenken) m(öge bewahrt werden)” ה”ה”ה” שמעון הרש פ”ק ז”ל.

Thank you so much for posting there gravestones. As I am Carole’s 4th cousin, I guess this is also a relative.
There was at least one other family that appeared as P’K (Fraunenkirchen) in the Mattersdorf Hebrew records: the SCHEY family. The youngest daughter of Simon Hirsch Deutsch married into this family. Since cousin marriages were common in Mattersdorf, I wonder if the two families are related. I have not been able to find the connection.
Yitzchok Stroh dictated the translation of the inscription to me over the phone. Any transcription errors are mine:
His soul departed on Thursday 6 Cheshvan 5592
He was an upright person who went sincerely. He conducted his business faithfully. He shared the yolk with his friends all his days. Here lies the honorable Simon Hirsch P’K Z’L
This is Simon Hirsch DEUTSCH. There were two large Deutsch families in Mattersdorf . In the Hebrew records one appeared as Sofer and the other as P’K, the abbreviation for Frauenkirchen. Blog commentator Meir Deutsch and I are related to both Deutsch families,
Simon Hirsch Deutsch was the son of Meyer Deutsch and Rachel. He was also the brother of Mandel (Menachem) Deutsch (My g-g-g-g-grandfather) and he had six children:
1. Benjamin
2. Aaron
3. Simcha (German not known)
4. Regina who married David Wolf and Gottlieb Haas
5.Johanna who married Isak Moses Schischa
6. Josepha who married Leopold Schey
Oh, thank you! We didn’t know this. I’ve corrected the name in the URL above.
