Anmerkungen
Glickel Lederer was the descendant of several prominent Mattersdorf families–the Koppels, the Loebs, the Deutsch (P’K), the Breuers. the Leitners, the Rehbergers, Scheibers, and Schey. Her genealogy is a veritable history of the Jews of Mattersdorf. Her parents were Josef Zvi Koppel (1850-1906) and Rechel Lea Leitner (1858-1935). She married Leopold (Moshe Leib) Lederer and had a son and daughter. Her descendants can be tracked to this very day.
Thank you for inputting this information.
One correction to your note: ‘She married Leopold (Moshe Leib) Lederer…’.
As a grandson named after him, and one who visits his place of burial on a consistent basis, the name I carry and the one listed on the tombstone is Moshe Yehuda (alternate: Yuda – so as not to spell out the name of H-shem). While the word Leib is translated as ‘lion’ and Yehuda connotes a lion (see Genesis 49:9), the names are not always interchangeable – as in this case.
Thank you again.
Moshe Yehuda Feuer
