Dear Ruth Ellen Gruber, of course we know the website, it was one of our main sources. And the website is very often quoted in individual blog-posts of our little project and described in our “Fiume”-post:

It is great that this website exists, but as I described, the problem is, that you don’t find any death dates (often even no names) from gravestones with hebrew inscriptions!

II transcribed and translated all hebrew inscriptions to get correct death-dates and (hebrew) names, esp. for further genealocial research.

only an example:
Isak Meir Lipschitz

on the Website of the Jewish cemetery of Rijeka you only find following information:
(LIPSCHITZ) (ISAK)

=> no death date…

because of transcribing and translating the only (!) hebrew inscription we have much more information:
Ignaz(io) (Isak Meir) Lipschitz, 07. Siwan 690 = 03. Juni 1930

and on the bottom of the post we added some genealogical information about the children and grand-children…
