Bei Carole Vogel weiter unten. Das ist es wohl, was Rabbiner Kinstlicher hier meint. Er nimmt wohl an, dass es sich tatsaechlich um diese Lea handelt.

Rabbi Kinstlicher remarks:

On her gravestone is not mentioned that she died in a young age. Therefore it seems that the age in the Matrikel report is false. Moreover, afterwards is written that her son Emanuel was born in 1880, so the mentioned date surely is false.

d’accord :) ! As I wrote above and in the linked comment, that in many cases the hebrew inscriptions are much more confidential than the records…

Lea Schotten’s inscription and the records support my theory ;)

The death of Lea Schotten was registered two years after her death as I wrote above. Means, perhaps is the fact, that she died with 37 not correct?
Do you have any details, that Lea lived in Vienna or that she died in Zagreb as written in the records?

Unfortunately we don’t read in the inscription anything about her age or her familiy. Line 14 only tells us, that she had a husband and children and that she was a faithful mother …

@Carole: Yes, I think she is! In the last line of the hebrew inscription we read that her mother’s name was Zirl.
11 children, she died with 37…
