Her father was Rabbi Jakob Hirsch Segal. (Note: the shape of her tombstone is similar to that used by some other Levite families.) Her mother was Regina Trebitsch. Marie and her husband Simon Brandweiner had six children, at least two them were murdered in the Holocaust (Zilly and Wilhelm).
