this is 24 Kislev 670 = 07 December 1909.

I found a Halachic Responsa by Harav Avraham Chaim Oppenheim about the famous debate of the stirel fish / sturgeon from 1829. Content of question: In the city of Arad, there were Jews who were lenient and ate the starlet, although it was widely prohibited by the vast majority of Hungarian rabbis. Is it permissible for one who is lenient to eat the fish in a city that strictly forbids it?

The item was sent to Rabbi Yisrael Frau Kirchen (“from Fraukirchen”), who I suspect is Yisroel Pscherhofer zc”l.

Are you sure about the date of death (1. Tages von Chanukka (also an Erev Chanukka) = 24. Kislew 476 = Freitag, 20. Dezember 1715)? His profile on Geni.com says he died in 1909.

On the photo of the tombstone I can not see the date.

Na ja, also wenn das stimmt, müssen das jedenfalls mehrere “Ur’s” sein ;-) denn Rabbi Israel Pscherhofer ist vor Tagesanbruch des 1. Tages von Chanukka (also an Erev Chanukka) = 24. Kislew 476 = Freitag, 20. Dezember 1715 gestorben… hab das im Februar 19 mal zufällig kommentiert auf Facebook:

Du verweist oben im Text auf Rabbi Pscherhofer und ein nachfolgendes Foto seines Grabsteines. Welches Foto zeigt den Stein? Geich das zweite mit dem kleinen Stein im Hintergrund an der Friedhofsmauer?

Weißt du mehr über Pscherhofer? Gibt es Literatur?
