Johann Philipp Ist in 1819 in Kittsee geboren, Sohn von konrad Philipp Und Anna Volk, Folk or Vogl, heiratet in 1816 kittsee. Johann Philipp heiratet christlich rosalia Steiner – Hirsch in 1856 (vielleicht Mutter Figdor) . Sie warren wohnhaft in Baden bei Wien, Weikersdorf, Tattendorf in 1850. Ich suche wer war , Philipp konrad der in Kittsee nicht geboren Ist Und Krämer war. Könnte et verwandt mît Joséphine Steinhof? Geboren Philipp. Oder etwas zu tun mît Yom Tov Lipman?

Vielen Dank Meir! Eine sehr schöne Lösung :), vor allem hätten wir damit nicht nur den Namen des Vaters (ich glaube mich zu erinnern, dass oft Träger des hebräischen Namens “Jom Tov” im bürgerlichen Namen “Philipp” heißen …) und natürlich schön, dass damit auch ein Grammatikproblem ausscheidet :)

Let us see what is written:
בן רבקה הוא = he is the son of Rebbeca (Rivka)
נדרשת צפורה that is the second name of his mother רבקה צפורה
נדרשת might mean here that on a day to day she was known as Zipora
צפרה אשת יום טוב = Zipora the wife of Yom Tov (Philip).Yom Tov is his father’s name and Rivka Zipora was the wife of Yom Tov – his father.
We can read it as follows:
The son of Rivka known as Zipora the wife of Yom Tov (his father).
I did not see the name of his father anywhere else on the garavestone, therefore they put it here with his mother’s name.

Als Antwort auf Johannes. Jolan was born in 1907 so it would be impossible for her to be married in 1915. I think the line about Zippora may refer to Josefina (Rifka Zipporah) Steinhof (circa 1811-1877), the mother of Moritz (Josef Meir) the elder.

@Carole: Do you know the birthday of Jolán Steinhof Vogl? How old was she in 1915? Was she married at that time?
Because, if she was married in 1915, “Zippora Eschet” in line 10 of the inscription would really correspond to Jolán Steinhof Vogl …

Moritz (Josef Mayer) Steinhof is the father-in-law of Sofie Sussel Loebl Steinhof. (Sofie married Moritz’s son Adolf (Abraham Aharon) Steinhof.

Moritz’s parents were Moranu Philip (Yom Tov) Steinhof and Josephine (Rifka Zipporah) Philip . His paternal grandfather was Ber Sofer. I haven’t been to find how this Sofer famil relates to the other Sofer families in Mattersdorf. So far there is no apparent link.
