yes, I know, but the marriage records we don't take into consideration at the moment, because a) we know that you are faster ;) and b) we're creating a list of all data currently (to be able to provide more comprehensive data in the future).

@Carole: Thx for your great deal of comment!
Unfortunately the hebrew inscription - as far as I see - does not contain a reference to his father's name.

His parents were Schey Loebl and Friderika. Moses Schey established a restaurant in 1860 with Nathan Schey (his brother?). Moses married Rosalia (Zissel) Neufeld whose gravestone is one of the few existing gravestones in the Mattersburg cemetery today and is embedded in the wall. A photograph of it can be seen at the JewishGen Mattersdorf Shtetlinks website. Go to http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/mattersburg/html/families.htm#
Click on Schey.Rosalia's stone is of of the two shown. The other one is that of Kati (Glikel) Leitner nee Schey. There is no known relation. However, the shape of both of the two tombstones is alike and similar to the shape used by many members of the Schischa family.

The Schischa family are Levites. And the family of Moses Schey are Levites. Could Loebl Schey's father be a Schischa? The father of Glickel Leitner is not known.

Is the shape of their tombstone the generic shape of Mattersdorf tombstones or does it have a special significance just for the Schischa and related families?
