(This is not the same Sofer family as the huge Deutsch/Sofer family in Mattersdorf.) Johanna’s mother was Betti (Breindl) Pinchas (ca. 1807-1884). She belonged to the Pinkas/Wiener family which has deep roots in Mattersdorf.

Johanna’s husband David Pick was from Boesing, Pressburg, Czechoslovakia.

Johanna and David had at least three sons: Adolf, Albert, Isidor.
