David Löb Ödenburg (born 1781) was born to a Mattersdorf family. His parents were Simon Aron (born 1747) and Rele (born 1757). He had a son Mordechai Ödenburg, who died in 1850. Mordechai must have lived in Ödenburg, for some part of his life to have gotten his surname.

Mordechai married Sorel and had a daughter Rifka who married Moses Schischa the son of David.

Mordechai and Sorel also had a son named David Löb (who was named for his grandfather). David Löb died unmarried on 28 Jul 1863.
