David Löwy's father and mother were both members of the Schischa family. He was born in Mattersdorf in 1859, the son of Mordechai Löwy , who was the son of David Schischa (who later adopted the surname Löwy.) His mother was Chane Schischa. David moved to Gloggnitz when he was a young boy. He is the first cousin of my great-grandfather, Max Löwy .
