Joel Israel Leipen and Esterl had two known children: Jentel and Yosef Chaim Leipner-Leitner. Descendants of Yosef Chaim used the surname Leitner.

There are quite a few members from the Leitner family today who are collaborating on Geni and have build a family tree showing that Esterl and Joel has at least 1500 descendants.
