Moritz married Julie Hoenigsber and had at least three children: Josef (born 1878), Max (1881-1945), and Siegmund (born 1883).

Moritz may have been named for his paternal grandfather Moses Mordechai Kohn. Moritz is the nephew of Abraham Kohn, whose gravestone is posted in this blog.
