She is the daughter of Josef Moses Hönigsber and Lotti (Lea) Dresnitz Hönigsber. Her maternal grandparents were the illustrious Rabbi Lazar Müller-Dresnitz and Fani (Fradel) Breuer Müller.

Her husband was Moritz (Moshe) Kohn (1852-1904), son of Mendel (Menachem) Kohn and Julie Hesse Kohn.

They had three sons:
1. Josef Kohn (born 1878) has living descendants.
2. Max (Mordechai) Kohn (1881-1945) married Regina Trebitsch. They perished in the Holocaust. Their daughter Katherine Kohn (born 19 Nov 1919) was killed in 1942 during an air raid in Holland. Their other daughter Gertrude Kohn (1816-2013) Marriott escaped to England. She never had children.
3. Siegmund Kohn (born 1883) married Regina Tuchler. They had two children: Ernst and Katerina.
