Markus Deutsch/Sofer was the son of Mandel Deutsch/Sofer and Johanna who was also known as Hani and Chanela Sofer. Chanela was born in Mattersdorf but her lineage is unknown.

Markus Deutsch/Sofer was called Mordechai Zvi in Hebrew. He died before 1904 as Julie was identified as a widow in her death record. Julie’s death record also noted that she had been born in Kolin, Bohemia on 16 January 1830 and she died of Lungenentzündung (pneumonia).

I had not known which Deutsch family Markus Deutsch belonged to. Now it is clear that he is a member of the Deutsch-Sofer family but I can’t place him within the family. He had a cousin of some degree also named Markus (Mordechai) Deutsch who was the son of David Hirsch Deutsch-Sofer.

I also don’t know if Julie fits into the Fischer family of Mattersdorf or came from elsewhere.
