Carole,
It indeed pleased me, as did her husband’s – Ya’akov Schlomo’s – stone.
One of their daughters, Sarl Rosalia Deutsch married Binyamin Ze’ev Steinfeld. Their son, Julius Ya’akov Schlomo Steinfeld was the one who negotiated with Adolf Eichman about the emigration of the Burgenland Jews after Austria was incorporated into the German Reich. He traveled all over Central Europe and England (where he got help from Rabbi Solomon Schoenfed and others) to get Visas, and even rented shipping to get them out. He got refuge for many of the Burgenlander and Austrian Jews.

Now am waiting for my grandparents’ tombstones.

The posting of this gravestone should please Meir Deutsch as Karolina (Rachel Lea) Deutsch nee Abeles was his great-grandmother. She was born on 25 Nov 1834, one of six siblings, and she married into the Deutsch/Sofer family circa 1850. She had five children:

1. Rosalia (Sorel/Sara) who married Wilhelm Steinfeld
2. Ludwig (Josef Eliezer) who married Juli Schoenberger
3. Moritz (Meir) who married Netti Deutsch of the Deutsch-Frauenkirchen family
4. Amalia who married Jakob Waldman
5. Max
