It appears that she was the second wife of Gabriel Bauer and that she was much younger than her husband. Gabriel’s first wife was Esterl’s aunt–the sister of Esterl’s father, So Esterl married her uncle by marriage. Gabriel died in 1847 He was a wealthy man.
